I started my photography journey when I was on Active Duty in the US Air Force. I bought a simple Nikon D3400 DSLR to photograph my travels. I also was and still am a whisky enthusiast who wanted to take photos of the bottles I tasted. This turned into a hobby for years. While I was stationed in the mid-west, I fell in love with the outdoors. Going on hikes and adventures, I found being in the wilderness became much more than a hobby but a passion.

After leaving the Air Force I became a Police Officer. After a few years of Law Enforcement, I ended up being severely injured which led to my exit from the profession. At that time I decided I wanted to do something more meaningful and focus on my passion for the outdoors as well as photography. Combining photography and nature has allowed me to reconnect with my primal instincts and embrace nature’s healing of the body and mind.

In 2021 I began learning more about photographic artistic and technical aspects. I enrolled in the Academy of Art University Master of Fine Arts Photography program. Through the rigorous classes, I found that landscape photography was the direction for me. As a conservationist, I want to bring the beauty of nature to the world, uninterrupted by man.

Photographing events for charitable organizations, church functions, and weddings brings joy, happiness, and memories to people. Being able to share that is why I also enjoy photographing such events. I also found enjoyment in photographing animals and vehicles as more of a hobby.
